Jeff Salerno has been in the Electrical Field for over 20 years. He got his start right out of High School in 1978 working for a local factory. Not wanting to be a machine operator, a position opened up in the maintance division. Once there the company sent him to night school to learn the industrial and commercial electrical field. After several classes and a new job as a professional firefighter in 1983, Jeff started Salerno Electric as a side job for his days off from the Fire Department. Over the next 20 years Salerno Electric was mainly a "Part Time" job specializing in electrical work in existing homes and businesses.
Jeff found over the years that people were complaining that it was hard to find an electrician to do the "little Jobs" such as repair work, hang a new light or ceiling fan, install telephone or cable tv lines or rewire an older home; so Jeff concentrated his efforts in this area. Jeff will do work in the "New Construction" field but finds most of his work still centers around the older home needing upgrades.
In 2003 Jeff retired from the city fire department and in 2007 formed Jeff Salerno Electric LLC which he operates with his wife Ellen. Together they work to provide affordable, quality electrical work throughout Madison, Oneida and Ononadaga counties.
