What is MOORE Networking?
MOORE Networking is a group of businesses that meet once a week to talk about their businesses, pass referrals to each other, and help each other grow their business.
+
What types of businesses belong to MOORE?
There are a variety of different businesses, but what sets MOORE apart from Networking Get-Togethers is that we are a business and allow only one representative of each type of business. This locks out your competition.
MOORE meets every Wednesday at the Rusty Rail in Canastota from 8:00 til 9:30 AM, except during major holidays or if school is closed in Canastota due to the weather.
+
Is attendance mandatory?
Yes, but a substitute list is available on the website. You are allowed to miss three meetings every six months, without sending a sub. You could also send an employee, a friend, or a customer who is familiar with your business to represent you. You really don't want to miss meetings because that could be the week when someone has a referral for you. It is very important that you are able to make most meetings as we operate on the philosophy of givers gain, and if you are not there to give, you will not receive as often.
+
Why do you meet every week?
Business is conducted daily, so by meeting once a week, follow up and referrals are easier and not forgotten. Meeting every week allows the membership to develop relationships which lead to stronger referrals and more closed business. This also gives everyone a chance to get to know each other better and keep up to date on what's happening in your business and the type of referrals you are looking for.
+
What does it cost to join MOORE?
There is an annual fee of $250.00 and Room Fees of $10.00 per month. If paid yearly, the Room Fees are only $100.00. There is also a one time Initiation Fee of $50.00.
+
How many referrals are passed each week?
A lot depends on what product or service you offer and the time of year. The number of referrals received by members of MOORE varies each week. That is why it is so important to have someone there representing your business each week.
+
Can anyone attend one of your meetings, or do you have to be invited?
We always welcome visitors! We also have regularly scheduled "Visitor Days". But please feel free to contact one of our current members. or just show up and see what MOORE is all about.
+
What do I need to bring as a visitor?
You will be asked to say a few words about your business - what we call our 45 second elevator speech. You will get to hear everyone else's "elevator speech" first to give you an idea of what to say. Check out our training materials for more information on this also.
We also encourage visitors to bring a handfull of business cards to pass around. It is not unusual for visitors to get referrals before they even become members of MOORE.
+
What benefit would there be to attending a MOORE meeting as a guest or visitor?
You will get a better idea of how MOORE works. You will the opportunity to get to know the current members and for them to get to know you and your business. These are the people who will work as your personal sales force if you decide to join MOORE.
+
What happens if the weather is bad?
We do not have a meeting if the Canastota schools are closed. If the schools are on a delay, attendance is optional. Please do not endanger yourself to come to a meeting.
