Giving a Quality Referral
June 30, 2008
Giving a quality referral (not a tip)
A referral is --- The opportunity to do business with someone who is in the market to buy your product or service. Although this is not a Guaranteed sale, it is an open door to talk about your business.
How do we give good referrals to our fellow members?
1. Listen for a need from someone your are talking to. Remember - 2 ears and 1 mouth so you can listen twice as much as you talk.
2. Tell person you are talking to that you know someone that can help them.
3. Give a testimonial about the member if you’ve used their business.
4. Give the members business card to acquaintance.
5. Ask if its ok for the member to call them and get their telephone # etc.
6. If yes--contact member with info then fill out referral slip at next meeting.
